    This is the mission of ONE DEJIMA.
    ONE DEJIMA is a global Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) company established in Nagasaki in 2023. We serve as a strategic hub for Ocean Network Express (ONE), a Japan-originated container shipping line with a vast network spanning over 120 countries.

    As the world’s sixth-largest container shipping company, ONE relies on us to handle highly specialized operations, including Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, Global Subsidiary and Agency Management, Market Research, and core shipping business processes.

    However, our role goes beyond mere outsourcing. Inspired by the historical "Dejima"—which once bridged Japan and the world—we aim to be a "Dejima-style organization" that connects global business operations with external expertise to create new value. Currently a team of 40, we are on a growth trajectory to become a 300-member global KPO hub.

    We are still in our formative stage. This is a phase of building the future. We are looking for partners to join us in this challenge: creating a modern "Dejima" in Nagasaki to empower global business.

  • Nagasaki was once the only gateway connecting Japan to the rest of the world. During the Edo period, it was through Dejima that new cultures and knowledge arrived from overseas, and Japanese wisdom and craftsmanship reached the globe. It was a place where ambitious individuals gathered to pioneer a new era.

    We chose Nagasaki for our headquarters for three key reasons:
    (1) The Origin of ONE DEJIMA
    When tracing the origins of ONE DEJIMA, we arrive at historical milestones such as the Kameyama Shachu, founded in Nagasaki in 1865 by Sakamoto Ryoma, and the maritime history of Kuchinotsu in Minamishimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
    Nagasaki is deeply connected to the development of Japan’s shipping and trade industries and can be considered one of the starting points of modern Japanese business.
    (2) A Historic Gateway to the World
    During the Edo period, Nagasaki served as Japan’s only window to the outside world. Through this gateway, the city absorbed knowledge and culture from overseas while sharing Japanese ideas and products globally. It has long been a place where new value emerges through international exchange.
    (3) Local Talent and Social Challenges
    Nagasaki Prefecture is home to eight universities, two junior colleges, and one national college of technology. Every year, more than 2,800 students graduate from these institutions, and over 1,000 international students study in the region. However, many graduates leave the prefecture to pursue careers elsewhere.

    Just as Nagasaki once did in history, we want to create a place where ambitious people from across Japan—and around the world—can gather to create new value.

With the support of ONE’s headquarters in Singapore (GHQ), our local partners in Nagasaki, and the dedication of every team member, we have steadily expanded our scope and continue to grow as a vital part of ONE’s global network.

Even within the ONE Group, we are aware that our presence is not yet fully recognized.

To commemorate our first anniversary and increase awareness, we created a company introduction video.

The video showcases how ONE DEJIMA was established, the core operations entrusted to us by GHQ, and the dynamic team driving our daily work—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Nagasaki, a historic gateway to the world.
