NAGASAKI, JAPAN — On April 1st, 2026, ONE DEJIMA Cp., Ltd. held its 2026 New Graduate Welcome Ceremony (入社式) at the Nagasaki International Club Dejima, located within the historic Dejima Site. Marking a milestone in our journey to “Empowering Global Business from Nagasaki,” we welcomed our very first cohort of four new graduates.

The ceremony was held at Dejima, a location that symbolizes both our origins and our future, Just as Dejima once served as a gateway, ONE DEJIMA aspires to be a “Modern-day Dejima”– connecting Nagasaki to the world and creating new value through the power of knowledge and practical expertise.

The ceremony was attended by the company’s leadership, including President Naoto Toyama and Senior Managing Director Kosasa Yoshio, along with department heads. The event also drew significant local attention, with media coverage provided by Nagasaki International Broadcasting (NIB).

The four individuals joining the company in 2026 represent a diverse group of new colleagues from China, South Korea, and Japan. During the ceremony, President Toyama presented each recruit with their formal appointment letter (辞令交付), after which each new recruits shared their personal aspirations and determination as they begin their professional careers.

In his welcoming remarks, President Toyama stated, “ONE DEJIMA is not a company that just happens to be in Nagasaki; it is a company with a future rooted in Nagasaki’s rich history of shipping and trade. We are Dejima of the present day”

Looking toward our growth targets for 2030, he identified 2026 as a critical “Year 3” for the company and outlined three key pillars of focus:

  • Culture: Shaping the essence of ONE DEJIMA through daily actions
  • Service Model: Moving beyond simply providing labor to creating repeatable ways of working that generate true value.
  • Leaders: Developing the talent who will lead the company through the next decade.

He further urged the new hires to “think by yourself and act by yourself” and to “turn your differences into strength,” emphasizing that their diverse experiences and perspectives will become the driving force of ONE DEJIMA

With the support of ONE’s headquarters in Singapore (GHQ), our local partners in Nagasaki, and the dedication of every team member, we have steadily expanded our scope and continue to grow as a vital part of ONE’s global network.

Even within the ONE Group, we are aware that our presence is not yet fully recognized.

The video showcases how ONE DEJIMA was established, the core operations entrusted to us by GHQ, and the dynamic team driving our daily work—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Nagasaki, a historic gateway to the world.

As a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) hub supporting ONE’s core operations, we are committed to creating greater value together with our colleagues around the world.

Through this video, we hope to share what kind of organization ONE DEJIMA is and the future we envision.

We also hope it will inspire new colleagues to join us in taking on the next challenge.
