Employee Event: Team Building & A3 Workshop Held
On July 11, 2025, ONE DEJIMA held a company-wide event at i+Land Nagasaki on Iōjima Island, combining team building activities with an A3 Workshop.
In the morning, employees engaged in the “A3 Workshop” to reflect on organizational challenges and envision the future. In the afternoon, recreational activities such as a table tennis tournament, outdoor experiences, and a BBQ were held, creating a day that strengthened bonds among colleagues.
■A3 Workshop – Reflecting on the Present and Envisioning the Future of ONE DEJIMA
During the morning session, all employees participated in the A3 Workshop. Led by President Toyama and team leaders, current situations and organizational challenges were shared. Employees then actively exchanged ideas from the perspective of “How might we ~ ?” to explore solutions and future directions.
【What is the A3 Workshop?】
The A3 Workshop is a structured problem-solving approach where participants summarize the process—understanding the current situation → identifying issues → setting goals → analyzing root causes → designing solutions (actions)—on a single A3 sheet. By visualizing thoughts in this format, the workshop helps uncover essential challenges and fosters dialogue across departments.
For ONE DEJIMA, this was the second time implementing the A3 Workshop, following the initial session in August 2024. Once again, all employees collaborated to identify organizational issues and design improvement actions.
■Message from President Toyama – The Background and Future of the A3 Workshop
President Toyama shared the significance of ONE DEJIMA’s role and its vision for the future.
Within ONE’s global strategy “ONE 2030”, ONE DEJIMA is positioned as a hub for KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing)—a function requiring advanced expertise and judgment beyond BPO (Business Process Outsourcing).
To address structural challenges such as talent shortages and rising costs at GHQ (Global Headquarters), ONE DEJIMA acts as an “intellectual intermediary,” designing, executing, and improving strategies. In this sense, ONE DEJIMA serves as an innovative model—a “knowledge outpost” bridging strategy and operations.
This operational model is grounded in ONE DEJIMA’s Core Identity, which defines both “why we exist (Mission Pillars)” and “how we deliver value (Core Capabilities).” These principles guide decision-making and actions, ensuring alignment with our mission to connect strategy and execution.
Looking ahead to FY2025, ONE DEJIMA will continue to advance operational sophistication and efficiency, while also initiating new business domains such as SME support, regional co-creation, and industry-academia collaboration. These initiatives strengthen our foundation as a KPO and drive our strategic evolution.
The A3 Workshop is not only a place for operational improvement but also an opportunity for every employee to take ownership of company challenges and to envision the future from today. The session on July 11 marked the starting point, with background sharing and situation analysis, and continued into July 14 and 15. The challenges and solutions identified will be transformed into concrete actions led by our teams.
■Afternoon – Refreshing with a Table Tennis Tournament and Resort Activities
In the afternoon, all employees joined a lively table tennis tournament. Randomly paired teams competed in a knockout format, with the winning pair receiving special prizes. The event created an exciting and joyful atmosphere.
Following the tournament, employees enjoyed the wide range of activities offered at i+Land Nagasaki, including fishing, buggy rides, cycling, spa, and hot springs. Everyone had the chance to relax and recharge away from daily routines.

Closing Remarks
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our partners at MTI for their invaluable support in preparing and managing the A3 Workshop.
This concludes our report on the FY2025 A3 Workshop & Team Building Event. Moving forward, we will continue to turn our learnings and insights into action, engaging in dialogue and co-creation to shape the future of ONE DEJIMA together.
ONE DEJIMA was established in Nagasaki and recently celebrated its first year of operations.
With the support of ONE’s headquarters in Singapore (GHQ), our local partners in Nagasaki, and the dedication of every team member, we have steadily expanded our scope and continue to grow as a vital part of ONE’s global network.
Even within the ONE Group, we are aware that our presence is not yet fully recognized.
To commemorate our first anniversary and increase awareness, we created a company introduction video.
The video showcases how ONE DEJIMA was established, the core operations entrusted to us by GHQ, and the dynamic team driving our daily work—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Nagasaki, a historic gateway to the world.
As a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) hub supporting ONE’s core operations, we are committed to creating greater value together with our colleagues around the world.
Through this video, we hope to share what kind of organization ONE DEJIMA is and the future we envision.
We also hope it will inspire new colleagues to join us in taking on the next challenge.
