ONE DEJIMA Participated in the 61st Nagasaki Kite-Flying (Hata-Age) Tournament in Tokyo
On April 29, 2025, with the goal of increasing ONE DEJIMA’s recognition and fostering exchange with people from Nagasaki residing in Tokyo, we participated in the “61st Nagasaki ‘Hata-Age’ Tournament in Tokyo (at Tamagawa Ryokuchi Residents’ Plaza),” an event organized by the Nagasaki Vidro Association (長崎ビードロ会 Association of Nagasaki City Natives in Tokyo).
*In Nagasaki, kites are called “Hata” (rather than the common Japanese “tako”), and “Hata-Age” (kite flying) is considered one of Nagasaki’s three major annual events, alongside the “Nagasaki Kunchi” festival and the “Shōrō Nagashi” (Spirit Boat Procession).
The event featured various activities that allowed attendees to experience Nagasaki culture, including “Hata-Age,” performances of the traditional art of “Ja Odori” (Dragon Dance), and the selling of Nagasaki’s famous “Champon” noodles.
This time, we created and displayed original ONE DEJIMA kites and introduced our company’s initiatives to the visitors. By directly interacting with many people, we had the opportunity to feel that interest in and recognition of our company is steadily growing.
Going forward, our company will continue to contribute to the promotion of Nagasaki’s culture through active participation in such events. We will also press ahead with the realization of our mission, “Supporting the World from Nagasaki,” through corporate activities rooted in the local community.

The video showcases how ONE DEJIMA was established, the core operations entrusted to us by GHQ, and the dynamic team driving our daily work—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Nagasaki, a historic gateway to the world.
As a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) hub supporting ONE’s core operations, we are committed to creating greater value together with our colleagues around the world.
Through this video, we hope to share what kind of organization ONE DEJIMA is and the future we envision.
