From January 10th to 14th, 2025, a four-day intensive course was held for 18 students, in collaboration with Professor Nobuhiko Nishimura of the Faculty of Economics at Nagasaki University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overview of the Course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This course provided students with a practical learning opportunity focused on discovering and solving challenges in the logistics industry’s supply chain and proposing new business solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first day, our CEO, Mr. Toyama gave a presentation explaining ONE DEJIMA’s company profile and business activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Kanayama from Isuzu Motors also participated in the course. After an introduction session to Isuzu Motors, the students had the opportunity to interview Mr. Kanayama directly on the theme, “What are the challenges in Isuzu’s supply chain?” This served as a valuable opportunity for the students to deeply learn about real industry challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The students began by conducting research and analysis related to the automotive supply chain in general.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They then analyzed the results of their surveys and interviews regarding Isuzu Motors’ production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, they developed ideas for solving the challenges and compiled them into comprehensive proposals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students worked in three teams and executed numerous tasks over a short period of time including brainstorming, selecting themes, pitching ideas, refining proposals, and presenting a final pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the final day, the three teams presented the solution ideas they had developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were greatly inspired by the students’ flexible and creative ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this four-day course, we as a company also received insights about the essential process for problem-solving and proposing new business solutions. We were truly impressed by the students’ remarkable potential and were very delighted to have been able to create this intensive course together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the presentations, a social gathering was held at our office, providing an opportunity for direct interaction with the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a free exchange of ideas as we reflected on the course content.
It was a very meaningful time for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mr. Kanayama for taking time out of his busy schedule to present Isuzu Motors, explain the supply chain challenges, and cooperate with the student interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also extend our sincere thanks to all the participating students, Professor Nishimura, and all the cooperating parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving forward, ONE DEJIMA will continue to work on creating new value through industry-academia collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
