ONE DEJIMA Holds its First Naitei-shiki — Welcoming Five Promising New Members
On October 3rd, ONE DEJIMA reached a new milestone by hosting its very first Naitei-shiki (Job Offer Ceremony). The event marked the official welcome of five new team members who will join in April 2026.
This year’s incoming members come from diverse backgrounds — three from China, one from Korea, and one from Indonesia. Among them, three are international students who have studied at universities in Japan, bringing a valuable blend of Japanese academic experience and deep cultural roots from their home countries. This symbolizes ONE DEJIMA’s growing global community and inclusive environment.
The ceremony began with inspiring words from President Toyama about the ONE DEJIMA mission of “Empowering Global Business from Nagasaki” and shared the characteristics of ONE DEJIMA members – Vitality, Growth Mindset, GRIT, and Curiosity. Following his speech, Senior Managing Director Kosasa presented each member with a Certificate of Job Offer. Each new member then gave a self-introduction and shared an aspect of their culture through engaging slide presentations. Their stories and insight gave everyone in attendance a wonderful glimpse into their diverse backgrounds.

Hello everyone,
I am Toyama, President of ONE DEJIMA.Today, I am very happy to welcome the new members who will join us in 2026.
First of all, I would like to thank your families and all people inside and outside our company who supported you until today.Today we have five new colleagues join us from China, Korea, and Indonesia. Each of you has a different culture and background. Your diversity and experience will be a great strength for ONE DEJIMA. Nagasaki’s “Dejima” was once the only place that connected Japan and the world. Today, in Nagasaki again, it is very meaningful that many cultures and ideas come together.
ONE DEJIMA was born as a “global KPO,” a kind of “Knowledge Dejima” from Nagasaki.
The name “Dejima” means more than name of the island. It means to step out from the old way and create new value. I hope you will enjoy this challenge, and grow into people who make proposals in an innovative way.The type of people we look for are those who can move by themselves.

For our current members, the new colleagues with many cultures and ideas will be a strong driver for growth. By respecting differences and learning from each other, we will build a stronger company together toward 2030.

Following the formal proceedings, the celebration continued at ONE DEJIMA’s “Day 1 Office,” where a casual get-together was held. During the event, the new members mingled freely with employees while enjoying food from their home countries – a delicious way to celebrate cultural exchange and connection.

As the five new members prepare to officially join ONE DEJIMA in April 2026, the company looks forward to growing and creating the future together.
ONE DEJIMA was established in Nagasaki and recently celebrated its first year of operations.
With the support of ONE’s headquarters in Singapore (GHQ), our local partners in Nagasaki, and the dedication of every team member, we have steadily expanded our scope and continue to grow as a vital part of ONE’s global network.
Even within the ONE Group, we are aware that our presence is not yet fully recognized.
To commemorate our first anniversary and increase awareness, we created a company introduction video.
The video showcases how ONE DEJIMA was established, the core operations entrusted to us by GHQ, and the dynamic team driving our daily work—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Nagasaki, a historic gateway to the world.
